Outdoor Discipline Carryover 2023-2024

 

 

In accordance with the Manitoba Disciplinary Minimums of the Manitoba Soccer Association:

  1. A Player who receives 4 Cautions during the seasonal competition will be suspended for 1 game.
  2. A Player who receives 6 Cautions during the seasonal competition will be suspended for 2 games.
  3. A Player who receives 7 Cautions during the seasonal competition will have the terms of their suspension decided by the Discipline Committee.

 

LEGEND FOR INFRACTIONS - CAUTION RECORDS

1A - Commits a direct free kick foul in a reckless manner
1B - Commits a direct free kick while tackling the ball without endangering safety of an opponent
1C - Commits a tactical foul or handles the ball deliberately to interfere with or impede the opponents attacking play
1D - Handles the ball deliberately to score a goal
1E - An act deemed by the referee as bringing the match into disrepute (Aggressive attitude, inflammatory behaviour or taunting
1F - Fakes injury or exaggerates the severity of a foul
1G - Fakes a foul (dives) or exaggerates the severity of a foul
1H - Interferes or prevents goalkeeper from releasing ball from his hands into play
1I - Verbally distracts an opponent during play or at the restart
1J - Unfairly distracts or impedes an opponent during play or without permission
1K - Exchange of jersey with the goalkeeper during play or without permission
1L - Engages in trickery to circumvent the goalkeeper’s limitation on handling the ball played from a teammate’s foot
1M - Makes unauthorized marks on the field
1N - Removes the jersey after scoring

2 - Dissent
3 - Persistent infringement
4 - Fails to Respect Required Distance
5 - Delays the Restart of Play
6 - Enters/Re-enters Field Without Permission
7 - Leaves Field Without Permission



LEGEND FOR INFRACTIONS - DISCIPLINE RECORDS 2018

1 - Serious foul play
2 - Violent conduct
3- Spitting at an opponent or any other person
4 - Denied the opposing team a goal or scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball
5 - Denied an obvious goal scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal by committing a free kick or penalty kick offence
6A - Offensive language and/or gesture not directed at another person
6B - Offensive language and/or gesture directed at another person
7 - Received a second caution in the same match
8 - Misconduct/Failing to conduct themselves in a responsible manner
9 - Offensive language and/or gesture directed at a match official
9A - Offensive language and/or gesture directed at a match official and continuing to direct abusive language at an official
10 - Fails to leave vicinity of playing area in timely manner after being dismissed

A - Accumulation of 4 cautions in a playing season
?B - Accumulation of 6 cautions in a playing season
?C - Accumulation of 7 cautions in a playing season

A - Offensive language and / or gesture directed at another person.
B - Received a second caution in the same match.
C - Violent conduct.
D - Serious foul play.
E - Denied the opposing team a goal or scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball.
F - Offensive language and/or gesture not directed at another person.
G - Denied an obvious goal scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal by committing a free kick or penalty kick offence.
H - Playing while under suspension.
I -  Registered and played with two teams during playing season.
J - 7 cautions received in a playing season.
K - Misconduct / Failing to conduct themselves in a responsible manner.
L - Fails to leave vicinity of playing area in timely manner after being dismissed.
M - Accumulation of either 4 or  6 cautions in a playing season.
N - Offensive language and / or gesture directed at a match official.
