Guest Player Record


Indoor 2018-19,
- Players playing in Quarter Field divisions can not be a guest player for Half Field games.

- Likewise, players in Half Field divisions can not be a guest player for Quarter Field games.

- The same rules from outdoor apply with regards to Senior Guest Player limitations of 3 per game and 5 total per player.

Teams in Half Field Division Premier - 6 are limited to a maximum of ten (10) Senior Guest Players during the Indoor Season.
Teams in Quarter Field Divisions are limited to a maximum of twenty (20) Senior Guest Players during the Indoor Season.


Indoor Youth Guest Players: Any 17 year old youth player who turns 18 between January to December of the current indoor season may register as a senior player at the beginning of the indoor season during the September to December registration period.

To further clarify this, the player must be 17 when they register, not 16 turning 17 between October - December time period and also they must be turning 18 in 2017 , otherwise they have to wait until January 1st to register as a senior player. Youth Player - a youth player is a player who is under the age of 18 at any time during the year;  Senior Player - a senior player is a player who turns 18 or older on or after January 1 in any year.

A team must submit a completed Youth Guest Player Permit (the permit should be provided by the Youth Player) to allow a Youth Guest Player to play for their team.  Youth Guest Player Permits can be obtained from the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) Office at 523-167 Lombard Ave.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH MMSL AND MSA RULES - TO PLAY YOUTH PLAYERS THE TEAM REP ON THE BENCH MUST HAVE A CURRENT CPIC IN PLACE AND PROVIDED TO MMSL LEAGUE OFFICE
 




Senior Players will be limited to five (5) guest appearances during the season, regardless of the team or division.
Please see below for further information regarding Guest Player rules and regulations.

A team may only use a maximum of twenty (20) Senior Guest Players during a playing season; for divisions 2 to 8 a team may only use a maximum of three (3) Guest Players per game using any combination of Senior and/or Youth Players.

A team may only use a maximum of ten (10) Senior Guest Players during a playing season for the Premier Division and Division 1
A team is permitted to use an unlimited number of Youth Guest Players during a playing season.
Senior Players will be limited to five (5) guest appearances during the season, regardless of the team or division.

Goalies are exempt from this limit, however Goalies still count towards the team's ten (10) Senior Guest limit for the season. The permit to play form and the game sheet must indicate that the player is a Goalie.  If this player is used in any other capacity the Borrowing team will default the game and be subject to a $250 fine.

Senior Guest Players can only be from a lower division than the team they will be a Senior Guest Player on.

A team must complete a Senior Guest Player Permit to allow a Senior Guest Player from a lower division to play for their team. Senior Guest Player Permits can be obtained from the Manitoba Major Soccer League Office.

PLAY-OFFS: Senior Guest Players are not permitted to guest for a team during MMSL play-offs.
PLAY-OFFS: Youth Guest Players are permitted to guest for a team during MMSL play-offs. However, once they have been a Youth Guest Player for a team during play-offs, they are ‘tied’ to that team for the remainder of play-offs.
